Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, the current-generation console port of the role-playing game that originated as a PlayStation Portable title in 2011, is coming to Windows PC, publisher Square Enix announced today on Twitter.
The PC version of Type-0 HD will be available through Steam. It will offer "new graphical options" as well as "improved battle & camera controls," according to a tweet posted on the account for the Final Fantasy series. Square Enix did not announce a release window for the port, only saying that it will provide further details "soon."
Final Fantasy Type-0 was originally released only in Japan. Type-0 HD launched in March on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One; those versions included access to Final Fantasy 15: Episode Duscae, the demo for Final Fantasy 15. For more on Episode Duscae, check out our hands-on impressions from PAX East 2015. You can read more about Type-0 HD in our review, in which we praised the game itself but criticized Square Enix for a port that received "the bare minimum amount of effort."
