If "Cord Whipping Simulator" were a game, I'd wager it would be a lot like side-scrolling Nintendo 3DS title Chibi-Robo!: Zip Lash.
Zip Lash is the latest entry in the Chibi-Robo series. Unlike previous entries, where your tiny robot would often focus on chores, Zip Lash turns Chibi-Robo into an adventurer. Chibi-Robo can use his cord as a weapon to attack or as a grappling hook to reach new ground.
I played a short demo of Zip Lash at this year's E3, and my time with the game was pretty basic. Chibi-Robo's cord is easy to manipulate and aim — which is important, as it's both your main means of survival and navigation. I smashed through boxes and scooped up collectibles with ease, and enemies I encountered posed little threat. Hooking on to higher platforms is a bit trickier, as it requires both timing and proper aim, though practice really does make perfect.
Chibi-Robo!: Zip Lash will also include amiibo support that powers Chibi-Robo into Super Chibi-Robo. The figure will be available as part of a bundle for Zip Lash. For more on the game, check out the trailer below.
