The PlayStation 4 Ultimate Player Edition will arrive in Europe July 15 with a 1 TB hard drive, according to a post on the European PlayStation Blog.
"Offering twice the storage of the existing PS4," the post reads, "you'll be able to download more of the games you love to your PS4, extend your play with more great add-on content and save and share even more of your best gaming highlights." The video below makes the same arguments. "For pricing information, check with your local retailer," the post concludes.
Sony hasn't revealed plans for a stateside version of the upgraded console, though an FCC filing discovered earlier this month showed that the company submitted a 1 TB console to the regulatory agency for testing. We've contacted Sony about its plans for a stateside launch and will update this article with more information as we receive it.
Update: A U.S. PlayStation representative responded. "Regarding the 1TB model," they said, "we have no plans to announce at this time."
