Crystal Dynamics and Microsoft brought Lara Croft to E3 last week in the form of the above hands-off gameplay demo that shows what players can expect from Rise of the Tomb Raider later this year.
In the 14-minute walkthrough, Tomb Raider fans will get a peek at what Lara will have to contend with in the Siberian wilderness: freezing cold, Trinity soldiers and the occasional bloodthirsty bear. But Lara has a few tricks of her own, including the ability to harvest raw materials from flora and fauna, craft poison arrows and use fuel containers as improvised explosives.
What the video doesn't show are some bits of Rise of the Tomb Raider that Crystal Dynamics showed off at E3, like open exploration spaces in the game world that are filled with challenge tombs and smaller, puzzle-packed crypts, where players can discover rare collectible resources. In the montage that wraps up the video, we get a peek at Lara's language talents —she can improve her translation skills over the course of the game — and a tease of some other environments.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is coming to Xbox 360 and Xbox One on Nov. 10.
