Forza 6 bundled with limited-edition blue Xbox One for Forza's 10th anniversary

The Forza franchise is now a decade old, and Microsoft is marking the anniversary this fall with a special console and controller that will be bundled with Forza Motorsport 6, the company announced today.

As you can see in the video above from Xbox Live's Graeme Boyd, the design of the unique console is inspired by the new Ford GT, which appears on Forza 6's cover.

The system comes in blue and features two racing stripes on its left half, which has a matte finish while the right half has a glossy shine. A checkered flag and a "10" sit on the right side, near the back, along with the date May 3, 2005 — the day that the first Forza Motorsport launched on the original Xbox.

The unit's power button is done up in the style of a car's engine starter, with "Start" and "Stop" decals around it. And when you turn the console on or off, or open the disc tray, you'll hear engine noises.

This isn't the first time Microsoft has built a special console with sound effects. The limited edition Star Wars-themed Xbox 360 that the company launched in 2011 with Kinect Star Wars featured R2-D2 sounds for the bootup and disc eject processes.

The Forza 6 Xbox One comes with a matching controller, featuring dual racing stripes running down the middle, and a 1 TB internal hard drive. The gamepad is the new model, which comes with a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Also included in the bundle are download codes for the full Forza 6 game and its Tenth Anniversary Car Pack.

Microsoft is currently taking pre-orders for the bundle for $399.99. The company will also be selling the controller itself for $64.99. Both items will be available Sept. 15 alongside Forza 6 itself.
