Earlier today, Activision, Bungie and energy drink maker Red Bull announced a cross-promotion that will grant Destiny players access to a quest in upcoming expansion The Taken King — a quest that's apparently a timed-exclusive for Red Bull drinkers. The announcement that some of the game's content would be gated by a soft drink promotion was met with ire and eye rolls from players.
It's also a chance for other developers to take a shot at Destiny's taurine-fueled content. Dying Light studio Techland poked fun at Destiny and Red Bull today with a beverage-based promotion of its own on Twitter: pour yourself a drink of water and Techland will give you a premium weapon pack for free.

It might be some shameless self-promotion at someone else's expense, but for the price of a glass of water, it's a pretty good deal.
