Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance comes to PS4 in October

The next entry in Nippon Ichi's Disgaea series, tactical role-playing game Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance, will be released on Oct. 6 in North America for PlayStation 4, publisher NIS America announced today. Players in Europe will get the PS4 exclusive a few days later on Oct. 9.

The North American release of Disgaea 5 will come with a special "launch day" edition of the game, which includes the game, reversible cover art, a 32-page art book and soundtrack. An image of that package is shown below.

As a new and terrible Overlord named Void Dark seeks to enslave the countless Netherworlds, one young demon has stood to end his reign — Killia. In Disgaea 5, lead Killia and his tenacious army of rebels on their dark and dangerous path to vengeance.

Disgaea 5 was announced last year, just before Tokyo Game Show 2014, and confirmed for a North American release last December. The grid-based tactical RPG was released in Japan on March 26.
