Blizzard's online battle arena game Heroes of the Storm is getting some big changes today, thanks to the official launch of Eternal Conflict, the game's new Diablo-themed promotional campaign. In addition to a new playable character, the Butcher, Heroes of the Storm is getting a new battleground, a new mount, new mercenaries, an infestation of Treasure Goblins and a lot more.
In the coming weeks and months, two more heroes will be added as part of the Eternal Conflict campaign: King Leoric — aka the Skeleton King — and the Monk from Diablo 3.
On top of new additions today, Blizzard is also tweaking how every existing character in the game plays. Some of the gameplay changes, particularly for heroes like The Lost Vikings, Brightwing, Malfurion and Rehgar, are significant, drastically changing how certain characters will play.
Blizzard has both added and removed a few items from the game's store: heroes, skins, bundles and mounts. Pricing on Murky, the baby Murloc, has also been changed.
The full list of changes, which touch on the game's UI, bug fixes, gameplay polish and more, can be read in Blizzard's patch notes.
