C-3PO is part of Star Wars Battlefront, according to a tweet from Anthony Daniels, the actor who's portrayed the cynical droid for nearly 40 years.
One day it's the hilarious YODA CHRONICLES: the next, the astounding BATTLEFRONT! (Just the ying and yang of being C-3PO at the microphone).

It's unclear whether goldenrod will be a playable character, given that this is the first we've heard of his inclusion. Going by what we know of the character, C-3PO is much better at running between laser fire and being dragged around battlefields. He isn't much of a fighter.
Daniels' upcoming appearance in Star Wars Battlefront is just the latest for the actor in video games, where he's voiced C-3PO in titles big and small for decades. Later this year, he'll voice the crankiest droid in Disney Infinity 3.0's Star Wars component. He's done the same on small and big screens and will reprise his role this December in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Star Wars Battlefront is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC and set for a Nov. 17, 2015 release. Battlefield developer DICE revealed the game last year and offered the first details in April of this year.
