See Castlevania spiritual successor Bloodstained's early version in action

A new video for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, a spiritual successor to Castlevania from former producer Koji Igarashi, offers a very brief glimpse at the game. During the video, character designer and artist Yuji Natsume and Igarashi play through an early build and discuss speed, enemy movements and more.

Bloodstained follows a young woman named Miriam whose skin has been fused with crystals that give her special abilities. The game is being crowdfunded via Kickstarter, where it achieved its goal of $500,000 in a single day.

Bloodstained continues to smash its stretch goals. Most recently, it reached the goal for a PlayStation Vita port, which will be handled by Armature. It's also expected to launch on PlayStation 4, Wii U, Windows PC and Xbox One.

The Kickstarter campaign for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night ends on June 12. At the time of this story, it's raised more than $3.7 million.
