With the Fourth of July weekend right around the corner, Xbox Live is experiencing sign-in issues. In a post made today by the Xbox Live support team on the service's official status page, Xbox said it is aware of the issue and working to resolve it.
"Xbox members," the post said, "are you having issues signing in to Xbox Live? Our team is engaged and investigating this issue right now and we will not stop till everything is running smoothly again! Thanks for your patience while we work. We'll update you when we have more information."

The site notes that affected platforms include Xbox One, Xbox 360 and other devices.
Update: As of 6:00 p.m. ET service is back to normal.
