Microsoft outlines plans for Xbox at Gamescom

With E3 2015 behind it, Microsoft is turning its attention to the next big video game show: Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. The company outlined its plans for all things Xbox at the show, which includes a media briefing where we expect to learn more about games that were missing at E3.

Microsoft's Xbox media briefing is happening Tuesday, Aug. 4 at 4 p.m. CET/10 a.m. ET, the day before Gamescom officially kicks off. The company plans to broadcast its briefing on Xbox One, Xbox.com, Xbox 360 and Windows Phone platforms.

The company is promising updates on three Xbox One games that were absent at E3— Scalebound, Quantum Break and Crackdown — as well as some other "exciting announcements."

Gamescom runs Aug. 5-9 and Polygon will be in attendance to bring you all the news.
