Resident Evil 0 has come a long way graphically since its original incarnation on the Nintendo 64. To underscore just how good the forthcoming high definition remaster of Resident Evil 0 looks compared to its first showing more than 15 years ago, Capcom released the above trailer at San Diego Comic-Con today, featuring footage from three generations of the Resident Evil prequel.

Watch the visual evolution of Rebecca Chambers, Billy Coen and the undead of Resident Evil 0, from its Nintendo 64 prototype to its eventual GameCube release to current-generation consoles, in Capcom's comparison trailer.

Capcom's remaster of Resident Evil 0 is coming to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in 2016.

Update: This story has been updated to note the Nintendo 64 version was a prototype build.
