Disney's Gravity Falls coming to 3DS this fall, courtesy of the UbiArt engine

It sounds like a perfect pairing. Ubisoft — the mega-publisher that, together with developer Obsidian, faithfully translated the world of South Park to video games with great critical success — is using its gorgeous UbiArt engine — seen in the recent Rayman games, Child of Light and Valiant Hearts: The Great War — to bring Disney's hit animated series Gravity Falls to the Nintendo 3DS.

Like South Park: The Stick of Truth and the upcoming The Fractured But Whole, Gravity Falls: Legend of the Gnome Gemulets is being made in collaboration with the series' creator Alex Hirsch. The press release proclaims, "the game delivers Gravity Falls' trademark quirky humor in an authentic and interactive way, letting fans play as Dipper and Mabel as they set out to solve mysteries and restore order to Gnome kingdom." We can see for ourselves when the game is released "this fall."
