In 2013 Polygon traveled to Kiev, Ukraine where we met Flying Cafe for Semianimals, a small team with roots deep in the STALKER franchise. Their game, called Cradle, is arriving on Steam July 24 and we've been given an early preview build of the first portion of the game.

Set far in the future on the Mongolian steppe, this evocative adventure game began as a dream that plagued Ilya Tolmachev, the former art director for Stalker: Clear Sky and Stalker: Call of Pripyat. Set in 22nd century Mongolia, this science fiction game raises more questions than it answers. Charlie Hall invites Nick Robinson to visit his yurt, meet his plastic friend, his pet eagle and generally gape at the beauty of a mysterious, post-apocalyptic world.

The most recent trailer is available on Polygon, right here.
