TT Games' successor to 2013's Lego Marvel Super Heroes, upcoming action-adventure game Lego Marvel's Avengers, will feature an expanded cast with more than 100 new Marvel superheroes and villains, including a new Avenger: Iron Stan, aka Marvel publisher emeritus Stan Lee.
At San Diego Comic-Con today, TT Games and Marvel outlined what Lego video game fans can expect from the game, which game director Alan Parsons said will draw upon the first Avengers film, Avengers: Age of Ultron and beyond.
"It's a celebration of everything Avengers," Parsons said. "Comic books, movies, cartoons. It's everything you love about the Avengers in video games."
The expected superheroes will show up in Lego Marvel's Avengers — Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Black Widow, Vision, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver — as will some less famous fan favorites. Confirmed to appear in the game are Sam Wilson as Captain America, Wiccan from Young Avengers, Crossbones, Detroit Steel and America Chavez from A-Force.
Stan Lee will also make an appearance as Iron Stan, featuring a mustachioed suit of armor, and can even call in the Stan-Buster, a spin on Iron Man's iconic Hulkbuster super suit. You can see screenshots of those newly confirmed characters in the gallery below.
Lego Marvel's Avengers this winter on Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
