Hayao Miyazaki, the beloved director of classic animes like My Neighbor Totoro and The Castle of Cagliostro who retired in 2013, is working on a new animated short, according to Variety.
Miyazaki is directing a computer generated short for the Ghibli Museum in Mitaka, Tokyo. The ten-minute film stars a hairy caterpillar and will take about three years to complete.
When Miyazaki retired in 2013, he told the press that it was a retirement from making feature films, but that he still had things he wanted to do.
