Prototype and Prototype 2 make the leap to PS4, Xbox One in quiet re-release

Radical Entertainment's Prototype and Prototype 2 are available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One starting today, Activision announced today with little fanfare. The current-generation port of the two open-world action-adventure games, released in 2009 and 2012, respectively, is being sold as a bundle for $49.99.

That package, the Prototype Biohazard Bundle, comes with "full HD rendering, improved framerate, and higher resolution textures and effects," according to a post on Activision's official blog. The bundle also includes all of the downloadable content and retailer exclusive content for Prototype 2. It's available as a download from the PlayStation Store and Xbox Games Store.

Activision says it plans to sell the two titles individually starting Aug. 11.
