If you play a lot of EA Sports games and don't already have an Xbox One, Microsoft and Electronic Arts are teaming up for a console bundle that may interest you: a $399 package that comes with a downloadable copy of Madden NFL 16.
This is the latest game bundle featuring an Xbox One with a 1 TB hard drive, joining a list that includes Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Forza Motorsport 6. Both of those packages cost $399 as well, but the Madden NFL 16 bundle throws in a special bonus for sports fans: a one-year subscription to EA Access, which regularly costs $29.99.
EA Access is the Xbox One-exclusive subscription service that offers up to five days of early access to all EA Sports games and some EA titles; a growing collection of free full-game downloads in The Vault; and a 10 percent discount on Xbox Games Store purchases of digital content for EA games.
Madden NFL 16 launches Aug. 25 on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, but it will be playable starting Aug. 20 for EA Access members. The early full-game trials available through EA Access are limited to playtime of six to 10 hours over the five-day trial period. The bundle's Madden NFL 16 download code won't go live until the public launch date, Aug. 25, so buyers of the package won't have unlimited access to the full game until then.
The Madden NFL 16 Xbox One bundle will be available Aug. 18; pre-orders are now live at various retailers. For more on Madden 16, check out our E3 preview.
