Bandai Namco's Pokémon fighting game for arcades, Pokkén Tournament, might be coming to an arcade near you if you live in North America. Arcade restaurant chain Dave and Buster's says it will be testing the arcade game, which is currently only announced for release in Japan.
"Yes. We will be testing Pokken," Dave and Buster's senior vice president Kevin Bachus said on Reddit this week. "Candidly both NAMCO and I are more optimistic about that title and our typical guests than Tekken."
While Dave and Buster's has more than 70 locations throughout the U.S. and Canada, it's possible that only a handful of those arcades might serve as a test location. Dave and Buster's is currently location testing another Bandai Namco arcade game, Tekken 7, at just three of its arcades.
Pokkén Tournament was officially released in Japanese arcades earlier this month. Bandai Namco recently confirmed that Pokémon Blaziken will join the fighting game's roster later this year.
