Watch five minutes of new, weird Devil's Third gameplay

Devil's Third, the debut game from Tomonobu Itagaki's Valhalla Game Studios, hits Wii U next month in Japan and Europe, and thanks to a new Japanese-language gameplay video from Nintendo, we have a better sense of what to expect from the game: lots and lots of murdering.

The five-minute gameplay trailer for Devil's Third touches on the game's single-player campaign and its multiplayer modes, one of which appears to involve throwing fresh produce into a goal while also killing your opponents.

Devil's Third pairs first-person shooting with melee combat using a variety of deadly weapons: swords, chainsaws, sledgehammers and bare fists.

Nintendo of America recently confirmed that it will bring Devil's Third to Wii U sometime during the fourth quarter of 2015. A PC version, released by Valhalla, is also coming this year.
