The sequel to Jurassic World will hit movie theaters on June 22, 2018, Universal pictures announced today, according to Variety. The fact that the dinosaur-filled action film is getting a sequel shouldn't come as much of a surprise, given that Jurassic World just became the third-highest-grossing film of all time.
Universal's follow-up to Jurassic World will see stars Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt reprise their roles. Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly will also be back to pen the sequel's screenplay.
While details on the sequel's story weren't announced, its conceivable that man-made dinosaurs thought previously to be safely contained will, in fact, not be safely contained.
