The PlayStation Vita version of Capcom's Resident Evil Revelations 2 will make its way to Sony's handheld on Aug. 18, SCEA third party relations director Gio Corsi announced on the PlayStation Blog today.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be available digitally through the PlayStation Store for $39.99 and will include the game's four main episodes, plus two extra episodes: "The Struggle" and "Little Miss." Revelations 2's Raid Mode will also be included, boasting 15 playable characters and more than 200 challenges.

Sony says Raid Mode's two-player co-op over PlayStation Network will be supported "out of the gate," with ad-hoc Raid Mode coming at a later date as part of a free content update.

Canadian developer Frima Studio, the studio behind Chariot, helped Sony and Capcom bring the game to PlayStation Vita.
