Street Fighter 5's public beta has been offline all day for maintenance, bringing additional assurances from Capcom that the beta will be extended beyond its original July 28 closing date, Capcom said earlier today on Twitter.
For those wondering, we will be extending the BETA period to make up for the issues we've been experiencing.

Capcom still did not say how long it would extend the beta; it made similar promises of an extension on Friday, when it took the beta offline for the first wave of extended maintenance. Almost from the beginning of its July 23 launch players had difficulty getting past the game's initial screen. The beta returned yesterday afternoon but it appears to be unable to cope with the large numbers of users trying to participate.
Access to the Street Fighter 5 beta on PlayStation 4 was given to anyone who preordered the game (in North America or Latin America; other regions had different access rules). A PC beta is expected but no details or dates for it have been given.
