Wargaming has announced that the closed beta for free-to-play naval battle simulation World of Warships is complete, with the worldwide open beta now underway. A trailer is also available, showing some of the seaborne action that the game offers.

More than 400,000 players have already participated in the closed beta, which allows players to captain combat naval vessels from World War 2. The open beta offers 80 warships from America and Japan across 10 maps accommodating 12 v 12-player online matches. There are also ships from the Soviet Union and Britain.

In-game achievements have been added. You can read our preview of World of Warships here.
