The Predator arrives in Mortal Kombat X starting July 7

Mortal Kombat X's roster will expand with the ultimate hunter, the Predator, tomorrow with the character's debut for Kombat Pack owners, publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced today.

The Predator joins Jason Voorhees in Mortal Kombat X's formidable duo of fighters from 1980s films — Predator and the Friday the 13th series, respectively. Warner Bros. released Voorhees as a playable character in early May.

Owners of Mortal Kombat X's $29.99 season pass, the Kombat Pack, can download the Predator Bundle for no additional charge starting July 7. The bundle includes the character itself plus three new skins: Commando Johnny, Infrared Scorpion and none other than Carl Weathers — who played Dillon in Predator — as a Jax skin.

Mortal Kombat X players who don't have the season pass will be able to buy the Predator next Tuesday, July 14. The character itself will cost $4.99, while the three-skin Predator Prey Pack will go for $3.99; the Predator Bundle will sell for $7.99.

You can check out gameplay footage of the Predator and Dillon in the new trailer above. For more on Mortal Kombat X, read our review and watch the Predator versus Jason gameplay video below.
