Remember way back in 2013 when PewDiePie was the $4-million-a-year king of YouTube?
How quaint.
YouTube's most popular star earned $7 million from his company last year, according to Swedish newspaper Expressen. That number is based off filings with the government there, according to the paper.
The paper didn't get comment from Felix "PewDiePie" Kjellberg, 25; but last year, PewDiePie spoke with the Wall Street Journal at length.
In that story, he talked about how his regular shows helped establish a better relationship with viewers. Make sure you check out our 2013 feature about PewDiePie for more insight into the self-made YouTube megastar.
