The Vanishing of Ethan Carter appears on PS4 next week

The PlayStation 4 version of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, the first-person mystery game from Polish indie studio The Astronauts, will be released July 14, the company announced today.

The Astronauts originally announced during Gamescom 2014 that The Vanishing of Ethan Carter was coming to PS4. The game debuted on Windows PC last September.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter puts the player in the shoes of Paul Prospero, a detective investigating the disappearance of a boy named Ethan Carter. It quickly becomes clear that some strange things are going on in the area — luckily, Prospero knows a thing or two about the occult, possessing the ability to communicate with the dead.
