Street Fighter's Shadaloo and G.I. Joe's Cobra are teaming up for a crossover comic book event in 2016, Capcom announced at its Street Fighter panel today. Street Fighter X G.I. Joe, a six-issue mini-series, is a collaboration between Capcom and Hasbro, and will be published by IDW next year — presumably around the launch of Street Fighter 5.
Capcom didn't have much in the way of details, but teased battles between the likes of M. Bison and Cobra, Vega and Storm Shadow in its Comic-Con-exclusive announcement.
This isn't the first time Street Fighter and G.I. Joe have crossed paths; around the time of the Street Fighter movie, Hasbro released a series of G.I. Joe toys based on characters like Ryu, Chun-li, Blanka, E. Honda, Blanka and others.
