New Rise of the Tomb Raider footage finally shows some sweet, sweet tomb raiding

Lara Croft certainly killed a good number of people in the Rise of the Tomb Raider footage shown during Microsoft's press conference at Gamescom, but today Microsoft has released the full 13-minute demo from the show with an emphasis on the actual raiding of the tombs.

While violence may make more of an impression on the big stage with those big screens in front of a wide audience, this video shows the game many of us want to play, filled with wonder and exploration.

Croft "fighting" the environment and using her wits to survive in these trying situations is a much more interesting way to sell the character, but it requires a bit more time and buy-in from the viewer.

Also, if you'll allow us to gush about the graphics for a moment? The game looks really, really good.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is a timed Xbox One exclusive, and will be released on Nov. 10, 2015. The game will then come to the PC in early 2016, and will hit the PlayStation 4 in the 2016 holiday season.
