Fans of the adventures of Mordecai the blue jay and Rigby the raccoon have been waiting for Regular Show: The Movie since it was announced in February, and now even the ones who weren't at San Diego Comic-Con can check out the trailer.

The plot appears to be this: After accidentally creating a Timenado, the starring duo of the Cartoon Network hit have to go back in time and battle an evil volleyball coach in order to save the universe ... and their friendship. Cartoon Network hasn't said when the special will air on television, but today they announced that it'll hit digital retail before premiering on the channel.

Regular Show: The Movie will premiere for the first time at the Downtown Independent theater in Los Angeles on Aug. 14, and run for one week. Then, on Sept. 1, it'll be available as a download from "iTunes, Google Play, Amazon Instant Video, Xbox, PlayStation, Vudu and others," according to Deadline. Then, it'll hit DVD on Oct. 13. Then it will premiere on Cartoon Network on an unannounced date in November.
