Sonic the Hedgehog offers condolences to fired Nintendo employee

The official Sonic the Hedgehog twitter account has gotten delightfully weird lately, and today Sonic reached out to fired Nintendo employee Chris Pranger with some words of encouragement.

If you're wondering what the princess reference is referring to...

That scene took place in the 2006 game Sonic the Hedgehog. It's one of those rare times you'll see a cartoon hedgehog gently poke fun at itself while offering kind words to a fired employee of its once-rival.

Just remember that Sonic knows what you say about him. Sonic remembers.
