WWE 2K16's latest roster 'update' brings newcomer Kevin Owens to the ring

Up-and-coming WWE superstar Kevin Owens has gotten quite a push lately, thanks to his high-profile feud with WWE poster boy John Cena, and he will be a newcomer to watch in this fall's WWE 2K16. 2K Sports offered this long look at Owens' entrance in announcing another batch of names on the roster today.

Owens doesn't necessarily have a dynamic entrance. It's a slow walk with a lot of staring and intimidation. Still, it's a good long look, more than a minute of footage entirely in-game, providing a close up of the visual detail in this year's game. See for yourself above.

Owens is one of 19 names rolled out today. The others are:

  • Adam Rose
  • Zack Ryder
  • Bo Dallas
  • Brie Bella
  • Nikki Bella
  • Brock Lesnar
  • Goldust
  • Heath Slater
  • Hideo Itami
  • Jack Swagger
  • Neville
  • Sami Zayn
  • Roman Reigns
  • Stardust
  • Tyler Breeze
  • Sting
  • Ultimate Warrior
  • Ric Flair

WWE 2K16 will launch Oct. 27 on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Stone Cold Steve Austin will grace the cover, as you can see in the video below. The game also features The Terminator, but only as a pre-order incentive. Hulk Hogan will not be appearing, for the first time in years; the WWE fired him after a racist tirade came to light during a civil lawsuit.
