Harry Potter is Igor in Victor Frankenstein, featuring young Professor Xavier

Victor Frankenstein, headed to theaters on Nov. 25, is an attempt to instill (perhaps electrify) new life into the first story in science fiction, Mary Shelley's Fra — well, you've probably figured that out by now. It features the talents of Andrew Scott (Sherlock), Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) and James McAvoy (X-Men: First Class).

We're not sure what Shelley would think of the sort of action film that her largely philosophical, emotionally focused work is usually translated into these days. But as somebody who ran off to travel Europe with a bunch of cute Romantic poets, perhaps she just might appreciate a version of the story cast with a succession of charming and baby-faced actors?
