Super Mario Maker doesn't just give you every molecule of the Mario franchise on a platter to mess around with, it also reaches into other franchises entirely to give you elements to use in your levels. Specifically, Super Mario Maker will give you access to costumes which serve as power-ups for Mario, letting him break bricks and take an extra hit while disguising him as Link, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Wii Fit Trainer, Isabelle — if you have an Amiibo of it, you can probably dress up as it.
