Rick and Morty may be one of the best television shows airing currently, and it's certainly one of the darkest takes on a ton of science fiction tropes you're going to see. It's a heart-warming look at what happens when a mentally disturbed, drug and alcohol addicted scientist goes on genocidal adventures with his grandson.
It's basically what would happen if you took the core relationship in Back to the Future and filtered it through Requiem for a Dream and turned it all into a comedy.
