What was known as "Project Bluestreak," the online first-person shooter coming from Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski, his new studio, and the publisher Nexon, will be revealed on Wednesday according to a teaser site that went live today.
[Correction] We evidently mistook a tagline on this site for the title of the game. Who knows what this game will be called, but Bleszinski says "The Shattering" is not it, contrary to an earlier version of this story.
The site features a countdown that will hit zero at noon ET on Wednesday. More details are promised then, naturally.
I *told* you to #BraceYourself ... Register now: http://t.co/wOxsFsXplO Trust me, folks - buckle up. I am so excited right now. :) :) :)

Bleszinski, 40, was a 20-year veteran of Epic Games, perhaps best known for his work on Unreal and the Unreal Tournament series, and as the lead designer on Gears of War, a breakout hit exclusive to the Xbox 360, and two sequels to it. He left in 2012, then founded his own studio, Boss Key Productions, last year.
A year ago, he revealed his new project and his intentions for it. Project Bluestreak will be a free-to-play arena-based shooter, somewhat in the vein of Unreal Tournament
For more on Bleszinski and his second act after Epic Games, see Polygon's profile from last summer.
Full disclosure: Cliff Bleszinski's brother, Tyler Bleszinski, is the founder of Polygon sister site and Vox Media progenitor SB Nation.
