Grand Theft Auto 5 was already a beautiful game on the PC — especially if you've dumped some money into your rig — but an upcoming mod by Martin Bergman shows that we've just scratched the surface of what the game is capable of.
"Don't go bananaz!" he wrote on the Imgur post that shows off some of the improvements. "It's just Reshade Shaders, ENB series, simple tweaks and some tonemapping with class!" The results speak for themselves.
That video was captured with a laptop, but expect to see a pretty hefty performance hit when the mod is released. "The mod will take 10-30 FPS," Bergman wrote on Facebook. "But I will do a shit setup build as well. I got a Asus ROG G751JY and have a 10 FPS less with the mod."
There's no date on a release, and Bergman posted that he will release the mod "when I feel ready," so it could be a while. For now though, let's just sit back and enjoy the possibilities.
This is why Grand Theft Auto 5 coming to the PC was such a big deal; the game isn't done until the modders are done, and they're just getting started.
