After some hands-on time with Yoshi's Woolly World, we can confirm that the game is not only adorable, but it has teeth. This is definitely a game built with a touch of Super Mario sensibility, with faster-paced auto-scrolling stages and plenty of deaths.
Check out our gameplay video, which has us checking out two stages (not one, as we said in the video) hanging out with "Woolet Bill," taking some high-speed curtains for a spin and general Yoshi cuteness.
Yoshi's Woolly World will arrive on the Nintendo Wii U on Oct. 16.
