During their presentation today at Gamescom, Microsoft announced that Cities: Skylines — the surprise hit from Finnish developer Colossal Order and publisher Paradox Interactive — will be coming to Xbox One first.
The city-building simulation hit a million copies sold in April, just a month after its release on Linux, Mac and Windows PC. Instead of being plowed under by EA's juggernaut SimCity franchise, the nimble team filled the vacuum left by that game's disastrous launch. The console launch will be among the first for Paradox, whose hit franchise Magicka launched on PlayStation 4 earlier this year.
