Homefront: The Revolution showed up at Xbox's Gamescom news conference with a new trailer and news that it will stage a multiplayer beta this winter.
C.J. Kershner of Dambuster Studios, the developer spun off from Crytek last year, said Xbox One will get exclusive access to a multiplayer beta this winter, he said. Whether this is a totally exclusive beta or a timed one wasn't clear.
He followed the presentation with a demonstration of multiplayer gameplay, which will be playable at Gamescom 2015.
Homefront: The Revolution, the successor to 2011's Homefront by Kaos Studios and the defunct THQ, does not yet have a release date. In March, publisher Deep Silver announced it was delayed to 2016.
