As teased earlier today, Square Enix has just released a new trailer for Final Fantasy 15 titled "Dawn."
The trailer sets the stage for Final Fantasy 15's story. Previously, we've known that the game will follow a road trip with main character Noctis and friends, but the "Dawn" trailer reveals some of the events prior to that exodus.

The short trailer shows life for Noctis as the prince and heir to throne of Lucis, a nation about to sign a peace treaty with an opposing country called Niflheim. It focuses on Noctis' relationship with his father, King Regis.
The emotional trailer also contains soldiers in chainmail carrying automatic rifles and, yes, a rad dog. Watch it for yourself above.
Previously going by the name Final Fantasy Versus 13, Final Fantasy 15 has been in development in one form or another for nearly 10 years. Earlier this year, Square Enix released a playable demo of the game for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You can check out Polygon playing that here. Final Fantasy 15 still has no set release date.
