Dragon Age: Inquisition's next DLC, The Descent, launches Aug. 11

Owen S. Good is a longtime veteran of video games writing, well known for his coverage of sports and racing games.

Dragon Age: Inquisition's next expansion is called The Descent, and it arrives soon. Like, Aug. 11, which is Tuesday. BioWare released a video getting you up to speed on what The Descent entails.

More or less, you're on a mission to discover the source of earthquakes that threaten Thedas. You'll find a lot of darkspawn along the way, too. Dragon Age: Inquisition's official page has more, including some additional screenshots.

This DLC is for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One; BioWare said last month that they were finished with DLC for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game.

Electronic Arts didn't list a price, but the last premium expansion, Jaws of Hakkon, ran $14.99. Members of the EA Access subscriber program will get 10 percent off.

In related news, the main game is itself now free on EA Access, which is only available to Xbox Live Gold account holders.
