Xbox's chief has put more than 300 hours into Destiny

Owen S. Good is a longtime veteran of video games writing, well known for his coverage of sports and racing games.

As Microsoft's boss of Xbox, Phil Spencer should be a busy man. But he's not so busy that he can't log 346 hours of playtime in Destiny.

That is according to an Xbox Live profile picture tweeted out this morning by another Xbox executive, Mike Ybarra. See for yourself here.

According to his profile page on Bungie.net, Phil rocks a level 34 Titan and a level 13 Hunter.

Destiny launched 333 days ago, to be precise, so that's more than an hour a day he's putting into this. Activision this week told investors that the average user has put about 100 hours into the game.

It's an impressive commitment, especially in light of Destiny's agreement with Sony to provide exclusive content for PlayStation. That content won't start showing up on Xbox One until after the next expansion, The Taken King, launches on Sept. 15. The Taken King also features PlayStation-exclusive content that will not hit Xbox until at least fall 2016.
