XCOM: Enemy Unknown is free-to-play all weekend long, courtesy of Steam.
Until Sunday, you can try out the tactical alien invasion game at no cost. Once the trial period ends, you will have the option to purchase it through Steam. Any progress made during the weekend trial will be ported over to the paid copy of the game.
The game's long-awaited sequel, XCOM 2, is now up for pre-order through Steam as well. The pre-order comes with the Resistance Warrior Pack, which includes special customization options.
For more on XCOM: Enemy Unknown, read our review. XCOM 2 will be available for purchase on Feb. 5, missing the November window previously announced.
