Street Fighter 5's latest newcomer is Rashid

Rashid is the next brand new character to be joining the cast of Street Fighter 5, EventHubs reports. The character was announced this morning at the Games ‘15 expo in Dubai.

Yoshinori Ono, the producer of the Street Fighter series, revealed the fighter onstage at the event, showing off gameplay footage of Rashid in action.

A Street Fighter fan who watched the announcement live at the event captured and uploaded footage of Rashid's debut trailer. Check it out below.

Several NeoGAF users who were also at the event were able to provide screenshots and additional footage of the character, which they shared in a forum thread.

The addition of Rashid follows the recent reveal of R. Mika, who looks to be one of the roster's biggest returning threats, as we saw in a recent video.

Rashid, R. Mika and the rest of the fighters will be playable in 2016, when Street Fighter 5 arrives for the PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.
