The Last Guardian might be making its second major showing of the year at the "Makuhari," where the upcoming Tokyo Game Show will be held.
The PlayStation 4 game is the subject of a mysterious tweet sent out earlier today. genDESIGN, the studio producing The Last Guardian and led by director Fumito Ueda, shared the tweet below on its Twitter page.
We are thinking about how to take Trico to the Makuhari ( in a new and different way). pic.twitter.com/Z1IKxPkOtF

The studio posted the message to its Twitter twice, in both English and Japanese. Included is a photo of a big screen projecting footage from the game. Fans will recognize the bird-like feet of Trico, the player character's giant pet.
The Last Guardian was shown onstage at Sony's E3 press conference earlier this year. The game was first announced in 2009 for a 2011 release on the PlayStation 3 and was confirmed to finally debut in 2016 during the E3 showing.
We got to go hands-on with a short demo of the game, guided by Ueda, featuring the same footage seen during the press event. Little else from the game has been shown since.
Tokyo Game Show starts Sept. 17. The Last Guardian's publisher Sony will be at the show, but has not confirmed or announced that the game will be shown.
