Five titles in the Assassin's Creed series will make their PlayStation Now debut tomorrow, according to a post on the PlayStation blog.
The post included a short trailer with its announcement of the series' introduction to the streaming service. The PlayStation 3 games that will be available to rent on-demand are Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed 2, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed: Revelations and Assassin's Creed 3.
The post specifically mentions the coming release of Assassin's Creed Syndicate as an impetus for the series' PlayStation Now debut. Since the PlayStation 4 does not currently offer backward compatibility, streaming the games through rental service is the only way to play the majority of the franchise on the console.
The latest in the series, the Victorian-era Assassin's Creed Syndicate, arrives on Oct. 23 for the PlayStation 4, as well as Xbox One. A version for Windows PC will also be launched later this year. We demoed the game at E3 earlier this year and shared our hands-on impressions of the game.
