Feminist Frequency discusses women's bodies as paid bonuses in games

Feminist Frequency today released a supplemental episode in its Tropes vs Women in Video Games series, looking in more detail at the use of images of women's bodies as in-game rewards, the subject of a previous episode.

The "Women as Reward Special DLC Mini-Episode" looks specifically at paid downloadable content and pre-order packs that offer skimpy outfits for women characters. Documentary series creator Anita Sarkeesian also tackles the oft-used argument that such marketing maneuvers are inevitable because "sex sells."
