Sony will release an updated version of PlayStation Vita game Gravity Rush for PlayStation 4 in Japan later this year, Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida announced at a pre-TGS press conference today.
Sony Japan Studio unveiled the PS4 remaster of Gravity Rush — called Gravity Daze in Japan — and promised that more games in the franchise were coming. Shortly after, Yoshida unveiled footage of a sequel, Gravity Daze 2. That game is slated to hit PS4 in Japan sometime in 2016.
The original Gravity Rush was released for PS Vita in 2012. Since then, the game's director has hinted that a sequel — with Sony itself teasing another Gravity game at TGS 2013 — was in the works.
According to Sony Computer Entertainment America, the original game will be titled Gravity Rush Remastered in North America.
